InVentiv Health opens offices in New York and Tokyo

Expands to become the world’s largest network of medical and scientific communications experts

InVentiv Health opens offices in New York and TokyoInVentiv Health has opened two new offices for its medical communications business inVentiv Medical Communications (iMC).

Based in New York City and Tokyo, the offices join established operations in London, Munich, Paris, Shanghai, Dallas and the Philadelphia area, taking the company’s roster of experts to 180.

The new seven-strong team in New York is made up of former employees of
Noveida Health, and will be led by John LaPolla. With degrees in microbiology from Cornell University and in biochemistry from Mount Sinai Medical Center, LaPolla has spent the last 14 years specialising in oncology and chronic pain, as well as cardiometabolic and psychiatric disorders.

In Tokyo, iMC will be led by new director of scientific services Aya Tokaji. Assisted by two colleagues, Tokaji will work closely with iMC’s China office, which recently won a contract to provide a global pharmaceutical client with insight into oncology in China.

The new offices will, allow iMC to meet increasing client demand and to build on its team of experts, which includes oncologists, haematologists, neuroscientists, biologists, medical writers, programme managers, strategists and specialists in market access.

As the medical communications division of inVentiv Health, iMC works with clients to provide medical strategies for advisory boards, medical content development and publication, virtual and in-person events and communications between physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals.

“With this level of expertise, we are able to help clients influence change within clinical and payer audiences,” said Elaine Ferguson, global managing director at iMC. “Now, with these new offices, we are everywhere our clients need us to be, providing scientific rigour and value-based communications solutions that are the best in the business.”
